Kahili
(Formerly Sandalwood) - Formerly known as Sandalwood
Golf Club, the new owners have renamed it Kahili Golf Club.
The course is undergoing extensive renovations, it will be
a 9-hole course played twice for a full round. They also give
you the option to play only 9 holes, however you only save
$15. Kahili plays on the south slopes of the West Maui Mountains
in the Waikapu area, near Ma'alaea Harbor. Plenty of wonderful
holes with views of the ocean and Haleakala. The shorter holes
play into the strong tradewinds, which make the course difficult,
best to play early before the winds kick in. A wonderful place
to place on a budget.

Dunes
at Maui Lani - Maui's newest course and already one
of the most popular. This challenging course offers marvelous
mountain and valley views of Pu'u Kukui (West Maui Mountains)
and Haleakala volcano. The first few and the last holes are
exposed to the 15-25 mph tradewinds, but most are nestled
in the sandy dunes forest. This course offers some of the
most intriguing golf holes in Hawai'i.

Pukalani
Country Club - Maui's only Upcountry course at the
1,100 foot level on the cool slopes of Haleakala. This is
an enjoyable course for a golfer stretching their budget.
The tree-lined course has thick lush country grass in the
fairways allowing your ball to stay up nice and high for easy
approach shots. Hate fairway bunkers? This is the only course
in Hawaii that doesn't have any making for easy driving, but
lots of nice mature Norfolk pines. Because of its location,
the temperature is 5 degrees cooler and less humid than the
coastal areas. Terrific course, but play before 11am as the
tradewinds blow in the afternoon. Pukalani means "Hole
to Heaven."

Makena
North - Opened in 1993, the North Course designed
by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. enables golfers to feel at one
with Nature. The only distractions on this course are unobstructed
views of the sparkling Pacific ocean, the islands of Ka'ahoolawe
and Lana'i, and breaching humpback whales during whale season
(Dec-May).

Wailea
Gold - Opened in 1994,
this par 72 Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed course is the
most demanding of the three Wailea courses. However, novices
take heart, the course offers 4-6 different tee boxes to tailor
the game to meet your skill.

Wailea
Emerald - Another Robert Trent Jones, Jr. design,
this par 72 course was rated one of the "Most Friendly
to Women Golfers," by a leading publication. It is the
shortest course of the three and has a unique "double
green" shared by holes #10 & #17. The Emerald Course
also offers some of the most breathtaking views in Wailea.

Wailea
Blue - The original Wailea course, this Arthur Jack
Snyder design is the quintessential resort course with wide,
forgiving fairways, as well as plenty of wonderful views.
Great for novice golfers who shank a ball or two.

Elleair
(Formerly Silversword) - Maui's best resort/public
values and still improving. Lots of good things happening
at Elleair (formally Silversword). New owners have improved
the golf course with new designs on several awkward holes.
Just added GPS for quick yardage and fastest play. Only minutes
from the Makena/Wailea resorts.

Ka'anapali
Royal (South) Home of the "Wendy's Champions Skins Game" - This shorter resort course offers lots of
challenge as it's tight but fun. With its Southern location
in Ka’anapali it can be windy on the North Course but
calm on the South. One of the fun features is that it runs
along the Ka’anapali Sugar Cane Train railroad route
and the train riders wave as they go merrily along. The trestle
at hole #4 is a great photo op.

Ka'anapali
Kai (North) - A long time favorite for West Side golfers,
it has one of Maui's few oceanfront holes, #14. This Robert
Trent Jones classic design was Maui's first resort golf course
opening back in 1962. Play early before the trades blow in
and make the course more challenging. This course also hosted
the Senior PGA event for 10 years. It's famous for its demanding
finishing holes with lots of water to navigate.

Kapalua
Plantation - The "Crown Jewel" of Maui
courses, this is probably the toughest and most spectacular
golf course on Maui. It has the widest fairways and largest
greens but plays tight due to the elevation changes and strong
trades that challenge you on every hole. Bring extra balls
as the waist high rough eats golf balls. The par 73 should
be 83 even for pros playing the first time! The Mercedes Championship
is played here in January when the best in the world come
to challenge one of Maui's best courses.

Kapalua
Bay - The Bay is Kapalua's first course and was designed
by Arnold Palmer and Ed Sean In 1975. This course runs by
the Ritz Carlton down to the ocean and offers some challenging
golf on two short but tricky ocean holes when the trades are
blowing. The back side is more sheltered from the wind and
plays a little easier. Most enjoy playing golf on the Bay
because of the ocean holes.
